Satellite Meeting: EVs in Aging and Regeneration

While the therapeutic potential of naïve EVs has been demonstrated in various disease models, recent preclinical studies now highlight their efficacy in aging and age-related conditions. This positions them as promising candidates to enhance tissue regeneration in aging and potentially promote rejuvenation. However, EVs derived from senescent cells have been shown to exert detrimental effects, underscoring the importance of selecting and engineering EV sources for therapeutic applications. Advances in EV engineering have enabled the enhancement of their bioactivity, stability, and targeted delivery to specific tissues, opening new avenues for drug delivery aimed at regeneration and rejuvenation.
