Satellite Meeting: EV exploitation in liquid biopsy/ISEV-ELBS Intersociety Working Group

· 5’ Welcome and ISEV-ELBS Intersociety WG introduction (Caterina Nardella on behalf of all the ISEV-ELBS Intersociety Working Group Co-Chairs)
· 10’ opening remarks form Prof. Klaus Pantel (ELBS Founder and President, connected remotely)
· 15’ lecture (focus on EV biomarker discovery from biofluid) – Irene Casanova Salas (to be confirmed)
· 15’ lecture (focus on EV application in liquid biopsy) – Michiel Pegtel
· 45’ discussion panel led by Julia Burnier, Carlos Salomon, An Hendrix and Caterina Nardella on the following topics:
1 – Unique value of EVs in liquid biopsy
2 – Challenges of EVs in clinical translation
3 – Pros/cons of different EV cargos
Topics will be presented by the Moderators with the goal of engaging meaningful discussion with the audience. The topics for discussion will also be shared with speakers ahead of time so that they may consider them in their talks. During the event, we will utilize tools like online mobile polls to promote dialogue as well as obtain feedback on the needs, challenges and goals of the EV-LB community. This data will also be used to provide a post-meeting/event report.
