The EVP FAIR-KID task force was created to catalyze data-intensive research in the EV/non-vesicular extracellular particle (NVEP) field by reinforcing transparency and data harmonization, accelerating the sharing of EV knowledge, and boosting its translational potential. The task force was introduced at the ISEV x Tech Conference in Baltimore, MD (USA) (November 2024). The scope of EVP FAIR-KID task force activities includes: 1) Engaging the community to simplify and recommend data sharing standards and processes for data contributors and data consumers, also in light of artificial intelligence (AI)-ready applications; 2) Developing documents that articulate community consensus regarding FAIR data sharing recommendations and best practices and that solicit input from the community; 3) Coordinating “implementation projects” by task force members and others (please note, implementation projects are funded independently from the task force but that would benefit from joint coordination), 4) Publishing papers that articulate recommended data sharing standards and processes, and that show implementations. Task force members will review results of their recent survey of the ISEV community and solicit community feedback on task force goals and activities
