Satellite Meeting: EV and host pathogen interaction
Friday, April 25, 2025
17:45 – 18:45 CET
Location: VIP C Lounge
The satellite meeting "EV and host pathogen interaction" goal is to discuss the interaction between EVs isolated by pathogens and host in the context of pathogen infections, highlighting the mechanisms by which pathogens use EVs to modulate the immune response and disease progression. The impact of these interactions on pathogenesis and the development of new therapeutic strategies will also be addressed. Additionally, the most recently published Guidelines for studying EVs in parasites will be discussed, based on the international guideline on EVs and pathogens, highlighting methodological advances and challenges in characterizing these vesicles in the context of infectious diseases.
