Mixed Format: Clinical Application of EVs - Achievements and Roadblocks?

https://translational-medicine.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/1479-5876-3-9 ) the scientific community and those involved in biomedical research and development are still facing huge problems in translating the accumulated knowledge about the biology of EVs into successful clinical use. In this panel discussion, the invited plenary speakers Nicole Meisner-Kober, Harald Stenmark, Alissa Weaver and Jan Lötvall will be asked to share their views on the achievements to date and also address the inhibiting factors that have prevented breakthrough of scientific concepts into successful use of nanovesicular therapies or biomarker strategies. Panelists shall provide and discuss strategies and recommendations for the future with the audience to prevent the professional community from making similar mistakes to those made in other biomedical areas in the past, for example, in stem cell research.
