Alexander Otahal is PhD student in Regenerative Medicine at Danube University Krems. He earned his Master of Science in molecular cell biology at Max F. Perutz Laboratories working on lentiviral gene therapy for hypercholesterolemia. After gaining experience in overcoming resistance mechanisms in non-small cell lung cancer via synergistic statin therapy, he started a PhD in the field of osteoarthritis research focussing on harnessing extracellular vesicles for cartilage regeneration.
