Simon Swift PhD, Asociate Professor of Microbiology and Infectious Diseases at the University of Auckland, Auckland, New Zealand. My interests include the biology of bacterial EVs and their role on pathogenesis and antibiotic resistance. In particular, I am interested in the EVs from Escherichia coli and from species of mycobacteria, and what it is in their EV cargoes that contributes to the biological function.
I am interested in the standardisation of techniques for EVs from bacteria, and co-lead an ISEV standardisation and rigor project with Nicole Kruh-Garcia at Colorado State University. Contact me if you too are interested in this area.
